Luis Acosta

I am proud to have been coaching at Elite Soccer Academy for these past 3 years. I am currently coaching the boys U15 Team. Prior to coaching at Elite, I had been coaching at an AYSO recreational program at Okeeheelee Park for over 15 years. I coached both boys and girls from U6 to U19. I also am still the director for the VIP Special Needs soccer program there. As a coach and mentor, teaching the fundamentals of soccer to soo many players over the years has helped me to realize the importance not only of teaching these players soccer but of being a positive role model to them. Through soccer, I am able to teach them not only how to play a sport, but how to be part of a team and even more importantly, how to become a great person and role model. I believe it is our responsibility as coaches to be positive mentors to our players and to remind them that soccer is just a game, but what they learn from their experiences and lessons while playing the game is what they will take with them and use to apply to their future challenges and accomplishments.
